We never try to make money by charging excessive shipping fees, we think that flat rate shipping is a great way to do this, but if your items are 10 pounds or over or require express shipping we will need to charge you actual shipping cost. Unfortunately, we do not ship glass. Orders received before 10 a.m. will ship on the same day. Orders received after 10 a.m. will ship the next business day. Orders received after 12 p.m. on Saturday will ship on Tuesday of the following week (we are closed on Sunday and Monday). Orders from Alaska, American Somoa, Canal Zone, Guam, Hawaii, Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands will be charged exact shipping fees.
Shipping and Handling Rates
Your shipping and handling options are flat-rate ground or in store pickup. Shipping costs are $8.99 for orders less than 10 pounds. In store pickup is free. In store pickup policy: "You have 30 days to pick up your order. If you do not contact us within 30 days about a pick up time, the order will be marked as closed and there will be NO REFUND". If you call ahead we will have your order ready and also make sure your items are in stock before you make the trip out here. Ground items not exceeding the 10-pound limit will ship via USPS and FedEx for the $8.99 fee. IF YOUR ORDER WEIGHS 10LB OR MORE,YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXACT SHIPPING FEES. All wine kit orders will be charged exact shipping fees. If you need an estimate for the shipping cost, send us an email with your complete address and the item number of the wine kit that you would like to order. If you would like your items sent via express shipping you will be charged the express shipping rates from FedEx. When you place your order please choose the flat rate $8.99 option and type Express shipping in the comments box that you would like Express shipping. We will contact you with exact Express shipping cost through e-mail for your approval before charging you. No exceptions. Orders 10-pounds or more will be the actual cost of shipping through the selected option. We won't rip you off on shipping. Tracking Numbers
Fermentation Trap ships orders through FedEx only unless you are specify on your order form. You will receive an email from us with a tracking number for your convenience. If you do not receive one, please email us at fermentationtrap@fermentationtrap.com or call us at (434) 985-2192 or fax us at (434) 985-2212. Please allow 5-7 days or 1-2 weeks depending on the availability of the item to receive the tracking number.

Order Processing
Please allow 5-7 business days or 1-2 weeks depending on the availability of the item for the shipment of the product (provided the product is not backordered). After that we ship the product using the method you selected in Checkout. It normally takes between 3-10 days to reach the customer's shipping address, depending on the shipping option selected. Business days include days from Tuesday - Saturday.
Backordered Products
We try to maintain as much stock as possible of all products at our store but in the event of short supply or high demand of any particular product, it may be backordered. In that case our sales department will let our customers know the status of their product and possible shipment time. The customer will then decide whether he/she wishes to wait for the product or re-order in future.
Bulk Orders
If you would like to order bulk volume (i.e. 50 units or above) for any product then please contact our sales team giving your contact information (including phone and email). Our sales team will then contact you and give you details on shipping and availability, please contact us for shipping rates at fermentationtrap@fermentationtrap.com
Incorrect Shipping Address
Please take time to enter your shipping address correctly. We also email you the receipt of the order you have purchased. The receipt contains the shipping address you have entered on the website. If you feel that you have entered any information incorrectly please let us know within 48 hours by emailing or calling us. You will not be charged anything extra. However, if the order is shipped (with incorrect shipping address) through USPS or FedEx you will have to pay extra to reship to your correct shipping address as we have to pay that money to FedEx.
Incomplete/Partial Orders Shipment
Fermentation Trap can split your order depending on your selection during checkout (a split shipment order is any order in which backordered items are shipped separately as the items become available). In case of split-ship order, we'll immediately process and ship the in-stock items, and send the on-order items separately when they're available. In these cases, you are required to pay additional shipment fees to ship the items which become available later on. The amount to be paid will be communicated by our sales team.
Order Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your order, please email us immediately at fermentationtrap@fermentationtrap.com Please write your order code in the email so that we are able to expedite the process. Please note that if your order has been shipped and you wish to cancel the order then you will ONLY be refunded product amount (minus the 15% re-stocking fee) and tax (if applicable). You will NOT be refunded the shipping amount as we have to pay that amount to FedEx. You will ALSO have to bear shipping charges of returning the product to us in its unused condition. If the product has been used, opened, or tampered in any way then you will NOT be refunded any amount for that product as we do not provide any warranty for that product. However, if your product has NOT been shipped then you will be refunded complete product amount, tax amount (if applicable) and shipping amount. If you have any other questions, please contact us. Recycled Shipping Material
We try to use all recycled material and supplies from our store to pack and ship your items. We got tired of ordering new boxes only to throw away perfectly reusable boxes.
