Trap’s Shipping Policy
and Our Shipping Philosophy
We
know what it feels like to get ripped off on shipping, we've ordered
from those Ebay sites that charge you $25.00 to ship a $4.00
item, and
we believe it is a bad way to do business. We will never try
to make
money by charging you excess shipping fees, we think the flat rate
shipping is a great way to do this, but if your items are over 20lbs we
will charge you actual shipping costs.
Shipping Methods
Fermentation
Trap ships orders through either United States Postal Service (USPS) or
the United Parcel Service (UPS). Please allow 5-7 days for delivery of
items shipped through the Gound option, and 2-3 days for the Express
option. If you ship with the Express option you will receive an email
from UPS with a tracking number for your convenience. If you do not
receive one, please email us at shipping@fermentationtrap.com or call
us at (434) 985-2192 or fax us at (434) 985-2212.
Shipping
Rates
Your
shipping charges are a flat rate:
Ground: $7.99
Express: $16.99
Orders over 20lbs will be charged an additional fee based on
the total cost of shipping through the cheapest option. We won't rip
you off on shipping and we will get a reauthorization based on the
actual cost of shipping before sending out your items. If there is ever
a problem with shipping please email us at
shipping@fermenationtrap.com.
Order Processing
Please
allow 2-3 business days for the shipment of the product (provided the
product is not backordered). It usually takes 12-24 hours to ship the
product from our store. However if the product is in high demand or
short supply then we have to order from our supplier in which case it
will take another 24-48 hours. After that we ship the product using the
method you selected in Checkout. It normally takes between 3-10 days to
reach the customer's shipping address, depending on the shipping option
selected. Business days include days from Monday - Friday.
Backordered
Products
We
try to maintain as much stock as possible of all products at our store
but in the event of short supply or high demand of any particular
product, it may be backordered. In that case our sales department will
let our customers know the status of their product and possible
shipment time. The customer will then decide whether he/she wishes to
wait for the product or re-order in future.
Bulk Orders
If
you would like to order bulk volume (i.e. 50 units or above) for any
product then please contact our sales team giving your contact
information (including phone and email). Our sales team will then
contact you and give details on discounts and shipment.
International

Trap will ship to international countries, please contact us for
shipping rates at shipping@fermentationtrap.com
Incorrect
Shipping Address
Please
take time to enter your shipping address correctly. We also email you
the receipt of the order you have purchased. The receipt contains the
shipping address you have entered on the website. If you feel that you
have entered any information incorrectly please let us know within 48
hours by emailing or calling us. You will not be charged anything
extra. However, if the order is shipped (with incorrect shipping
address) through UPS then you will have to pay extra to reship to your
correct shipping address as we have to pay that money to UPS.
Incomplete/Partial
Orders Shipment
Fermentation
Trap can split your order depending on your selection during checkout
(a split shipment order is any order in which back ordered items are
shipped separately as the items become available). In case of
split-ship order, we'll immediately process and ship the in-stock
items, and send the on-order items separately when they're available.
In these cases, you are required to pay additional shipment fees to
ship the items which become available later on. The amount to be paid
will be communicated by our sales team.
Order
Cancellation
If
you wish to cancel your order, please email us immediately at
shipping@fermentationtrap.com. Please write your order code in the
email so that we are able to expedite the process. Please not that if
you order has been shipped and you wish to cancel that order then you
will ONLY be refunded product amount (minus the 15% re-stocking fee)
and tax (if applicable). You will NOT be refunded shipping amount as we
have to pay that amount to UPS. You will ALSO have to bear shipping
charges of returning the product to us in its unused condition.
If
the product has been used, opened or tampered in any way then you will
NOT be refunded any amount for that product as we do not provide any
warranty for that product. However, if your product has NOT been
shipped then you will be refunded complete product amount, tax amount
(if applicable) and shipping amount. If you have any other questions,
